Real Estate Receptionist Jobs

Reception is the front door of an agency and, for many people, the front door to a real estate career. It is one of the few roles that regularly hires without industry experience.

We place receptionists and client services coordinators with agencies across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sydney.

What the role involves

  • First point of contact for owners, tenants, buyers and trades
  • Managing enquiry across phone, email and walk-ins
  • Appointment coordination and key management
  • Supporting sales and property management administration
  • Maintaining the office and its presentation

Why it is a strong entry point

You see the whole business from reception — how sales campaigns run, how property management handles maintenance, how trust accounting operates. Many Property Managers and administrators we place started at the front desk.

What employers look for

Warmth, composure and organisation. Agencies hire on how you handle an unhappy tenant on the phone while three people wait at the counter, not on your industry knowledge.

Common questions

Do I need experience?
No. Reception is one of the most accessible roles in real estate, and customer service or hospitality experience transfers well.
Is there progression from reception?
Yes — commonly into property management assistance, leasing, sales administration or office management.
Do receptionists need certification?
Generally not, unless the role includes agency duties such as leasing. Many people complete it anyway to open up progression.
