Do I need Queensland real estate certification to work as a Property Manager on the Gold Coast?
Yes. Queensland requires a real estate registration certificate (or full licence) issued by the Office of Fair Trading to perform property management work. If you are moving interstate, ask us early — the transition is straightforward but should be started before interviews.
Is short-stay and holiday letting experience useful here?
It is valuable on the beachfront strip and in Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise, where a meaningful share of stock moves between permanent and holiday letting. It is less relevant in the western and northern corridors.
